Table games: the rule variant matters more than strategy
Table games are the casino classics: roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker variants. They can be played with a generator (digital table) or at a live table. For the player, the most important thing is knowing which rule variant applies, because that sets the house edge.
Roulette
European roulette has one zero, American roulette two. The second zero increases the house edge. There are also fast and multiplier variants with different payouts. Check the table rules for which variant it is.
Blackjack
Blackjack rules vary by table: how many decks, whether the dealer hits soft 17, whether doubling and splitting are allowed. Each rule changes the player's odds. Basic strategy reduces the house edge but does not remove it.
Baccarat
In baccarat you bet on player, banker or tie. The banker bet often carries a commission. The tie pays a lot but is rare. Check the table rules for payouts and commission.
Casino poker variants
In casino poker you play against the dealer, not other players. Payouts depend on hand strength and the paytable. Side bets offer big multipliers, but their house edge is usually higher than the main bet's.
Table games and bonuses
Table games often count less towards wagering, or are excluded while a bonus is active. The terms may also prohibit low-risk patterns such as betting on both colours in roulette. Read the bonus terms.
Digital or live table

Planning a budget
Table game rounds are often slower than slot spins but stakes are larger. Set a session budget and a per-round stake so you can play at least twenty rounds. Chasing losses by raising stakes is the fastest way to end a budget.
